GlasGlenU3A

We are the Glasthule & Glenageary branch of the University of the Third Age (U3A).

The “University of the Third Age” to give it its full title. ‘University’, in this sense, means a gathering of people interested in following and contributing to a common programme of learning activities. The ‘Third Age’ generally refers to the period in life in which full time employment has ceased.

As with other U3A groups, our members draw on the skills, knowledge, and experience of one another to organise their own activities and learn with and from each other. It is in this spirit of shared learning that we come together.

GlasGlen U3A was formed in 2022 and currently has a membership of more than 100. We are still exploring ways in which we can expand our learning opportunities, not just through our monthly meetings but also by coming together in smaller groups to explore topics of mutual interest. Come and join us!

Meetings take place in St. Joseph’s Parish Centre, Glasthule.
